Monroe and Park Ave Detour

Monroe Avenue Road Closure and Detour

Ridgewood Water Department has advised the Township of Wyckoff that
it will perform a repair on Monroe Avenue. The repair work requires
the excavation of Monroe Avenue just before its intersection with Van
Houten Avenue. It is anticipated, weather permitting the repair will
be performed on Tuesday, August 5 and the repair work is expected to
take one full day from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Motorists traveling on Monroe Avenue should plan an alternate route
or plan for more travel time and follow the detour. The speed limit
through the detour and on Monroe Avenue is a maximum of 25 mph. Please
drive safely with caution.

The detour route is:

For traffic traveling north on Monroe Avenue - Left onto Pinewood
Drive, Right onto Wyckoff Avenue, right onto Franklin Avenue.

For traffic traveling South on Monroe Avenue - Left onto Van Houten
Avenue, Right onto Voorhis Avenue, Right onto Samuel Way, Left onto
Monroe Avenue.

Park Avenue will be undergoing curb and drainage work, and milling and re-surfacing beginning July 14. The work will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM, and it is expected to last four to six weeks. The project encompasses the section of Park Avenue from Coombs Road to Prospect Street in Midland Park. Traffic will be detoured while the work is being performed; there is no work scheduled for evenings. The project is funded through a joint grant of three hundred thousand awarded by NJDOT to both Wyckoff and Midland Park.
