Wyckoff’s Volunteer Fire Department battled a devastating home fire that consumed the roof off a local home. The house suffered significant damage from smoke, water and fire as firefighters battled to save the structure. The fire began between 3-3:30pm on Monday, and first responders conducted an aggressive search of the blazing structure and determined no occupants were home. It was reported that a number of children live in the home, and the family soon accounted for the safety of all occupants

Mutual aid was provided by surrounding towns, and residents can view photos of the firefighters in action courtesy of the Waldwick, NJ Fire Department.
