Dear Friends,
Inserra Shop Rite Development Application Deemed Complete
The application for the “old A&P” property submitted by Inserra Shop Rite was deemed complete by the Wyckoff Planning Board on November 9. Landscape plans were incomplete at the time of the meeting, but will be reviewed by the Shade Tree Commission at a later date. Full front elevations and color schematics were also not available. However, the proposed building designs will be submitted for review by the town’s Design Review Board at a meeting yet to be scheduled. Although 20 residents attended, public comment was not available.
Both the Shade Tree and Design Review Board meetings are open to the public and we will inform you when the meeting dates are announced. Note: The Shade Tree Commission meets tomorrow evening at 7:30pm, however the Inserra development is not on the agenda as of this writing. The plans, in blueprint form, are now available for review in Town Hall. Friends of Wyckoff is not opposed to redevelopment, however we believe that the development should incorporate smart growth principles, reflect the colonial character of Wyckoff and not be a repeat of the Boulder Run Stop & Shop exterior design.
Wyckoff Township Board Appointments – 2010
Did you know that six seats on the Wyckoff Planning Board are up for re-apppointment this year? This is the Board that granted approvals for the Deep Voll Ravine and Russell Farm subdivisions, and the Boulder Run approvals. The appointment process continues to be generally unknown to the Wyckoff public.
If you are interested in having an impact on Wyckoff’s land use and environmental issues, you have the opportunity to apply for a position on one of the six open seats on the Planning Board. Simply send a cover letter with the attached Volunteer form to the Wyckoff Township Committee to volunteer your services. This Board and others generally meet once per month. See www.Wyckoff-NJ.com for schedules.
Friends of Wyckoff encourages all concerned citizens to consider applying for a position to this or any other board such as the Zoning Board of Adjustment (hearing the CHCC development in the Sicomac area), Environmental Commission, Shade Tree Commission, or Design Review Board. Applications should be submitted as soon as this week for consideration. Use the attached Volunteer form for all applications.
Mail/bring your application to: Volunteers for Wyckoff, Wyckoff Town Hall, 340 Franklin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
Also, please consider attending the Tuesday, December 1 Township Committee meeting at 8 pm to express your interests and concerns during the public commentary portion of the meeting. Concern for Wyckoff and your property value is your best experience.

A light supper will be served.
