Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, New Jersey recently donated a used van to the Wyckoff Fire Department to use for training purposes. The firemen plan to recreate accident scenes and practice extricating manikins from the vehicle using specialized equipment from the rescue truck. Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff recently collaborated with Eastern Christian High School (ECHS) in North Haledon to present a Student Career Forum for ECHS freshmen. Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, CHCC President and CEO, welcomed the students in the Auditorium and then they broke into small work groups based on their personal interests and had the opportunity to interview CHCC employees about their careers. The career fields included nursing, food services, social work, finance, information technology, plant operations and maintenance, and marketing/foundation. Pictured, from left, are Douglas A. The Longview Assisted Living Residence at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff recently obtained It’s Never 2 Late (IN2L), a versatile computer system that offers physical, spiritual, and intellectual activities and entertainment designed specifically for seniors. The CHCC Foundation obtained grant money and personal gifts to purchase the system. Some donors who contributed to the purchase attended an activity at Longview to see how residents benefit from the system. Pictured, from left, are Douglas A.
