(AUSTINTOWN, OH)–Mount Union College junior Scott Miller (Wykoff, NJ/Ramapo) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week.

Scott was a four-year letter winner for coach Ozzie Carlson at Ramapo H.S… all-state selection and three-time all-county pick, and helped Ramapo to two state championships.

Recently, Miller fired a one-under par 139 (70-69) to claim medalist honors at the Muskingum Spring Invitational at EagleSticks Golf Club in Zanesville, OH. It was Miller’s first tournament as a Purple Raider after spending the last two years at Guilford (NC) College.

Miller also led the Purple Raiders to team title at the event with a combined score of 570 (287-283).

Mount Union College is an NCAA Division III institution in Northeastern Ohio and a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference. The men’s golf team has won the last two OAC titles and advanced to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship in 2007 and 2008.

Mount Union will compete this Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5, at the Denison/Barclay Invitational at Granville Golf Course in Granville, Ohio.
